Preschool Afternoon Aide

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Preschool Afternoon Aide to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children and supporting their growth and development. As a Preschool Afternoon Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting our teachers and creating a nurturing environment for children aged 3 to 5 years.

Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities and lessons
- Supervise children during playtime, snack time, and other daily routines
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Help with the preparation and clean-up of materials and supplies
- Observe and report children's behavior and progress to lead teachers
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Assist with parent communication and updates as needed
- Support children's social-emotional development and positive behavior

Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children aged 3-5 years preferred
- Knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Physical ability to engage in activities with children, including lifting up to 30 pounds
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Flexibility to work afternoon hours, typically from 12 PM to 6 PM
