Program Coordinator

Lunalilo Home and Adult Day Center offers diverse opportunities for those interested in using their skills and experience to serve kupuna (elders) and to make a difference in the lives of others by providing compassionate, quality care.

We seek a Program Coordinator for a full-time schedule to assist in the planning, organizing and directing therapeutic exercise and recreation programs to effect improvement in the physical, mental and social well-being of kupuna.

Essential functions:

• Assists in planning, organizing and directing diverse range of activities and events that cater to the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs and abilities of our kupuna.
• Plans and coordinates mental stimulation program for memory support.
• Conduct group and individual recreation activities according to kupuna’s needs, capabilities and interest.
• Performs driving duties and assists with transporting and caring for clients while on field trips.
• Supervises Activities Aides in collaboration with management team.
• Assists in managing volunteer program.
• Cultivate and work with community partners to organize and implement various activities and events for kupuna.
• Work with the team to coordinate, plan and implement annual events, field trips, and other special events throughout the calendar year.

Other Functions

• Provide support assistance to team members, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned or needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• May be required to work evenings, weekends, as the workload dictates.
• Associate’s degree or five (5) years of related experience
• Certificate in BLS CPR and First Aid
