Public Health Rat Lungworm Disease Outreach Coordinator
$5,725 monthly, salary commensurate w/ training and experience
Exempt, temporary, non-civil service appointment. The primary purpose of the position is to facilitate effective and timely public communication on daily actual and perceived health risks, as well as, provide guidance to the public on responding to public health emergencies such as outbreaks of contagious diseases, contamination of drinking water or recreational waters, foodborne illness, recalls and food establishment closures, chemical and biological health threats, emerging public health concerns, and other health related emergencies.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited university. The educational training must demonstrate possession of a high degree of English language skills.
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years of progressively responsible experience organizing, planning, and conducting a program to disseminate information about the activities and plans of an organization to the public-at-large, or to individuals within the organization. Applicant should have a sound knowledge of social marketing and social media techniques.
LICENSE: Possession of a valid type 3 driver’s license is preferred.
