Job Description

Purchasing Agent needed for a full-time position in Honolulu. As the Purchasing Agent, you will be in charge of ordering and maintaining stock and other supplies for a distribution company.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Order stock and other supplies
  • Check on purchase orders and take care of any receipts
  • Make sure inventory is always stocked
  • Negotiate with vendors on prices
  • Assist management and staff on keeping the turnover rate of stock steady
  • Look for and point out any slow-moving inventory
  • Schedule time with freight carriers for shipment
  • Perform administrative tasks
  • Work rotationally at the company's will call office on Saturdays
  • Help with the physical inventory process twice a year
  • Support other staff and departments when asked


Required Education and Qualifications:


  • Experience in food products is preferred
  • Positive attitude and strong attendance
  • Knowledge of computers
  • Availability to work Saturdays on a rotating basis
  • High attention to details and accuracy
