Job Description

Purchasing Agent needed for a full-time position in Honolulu. As the Purchasing Agent, you will be in charge of ordering and maintaining stock and supplies for a distribution company.

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Order stock and other supplies and ensure inventory is always properly stocked.
  • Verify, prepare and forward purchase orders.
  • Negotiate prices with vendors and authorize payments. 
  • Verify receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered and resolve any shipment errors with suppliers.
  • Help with the physical inventory process twice a year and compile any inventory reports as needed.
  • Support other staff and departments when required. 

 

Required Education and Qualifications:

 

  • Previous purchasing experience highly desirable.
  • Positive attitude, good work initiative and strong attendance.
  • Good computer literacy and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic math skills.
