Position Overview:
At Home Hawaii is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Real Estate Property Management Assistant & Bookkeeper for a part-time or full-time position based in our Honolulu office. The position combines office-based administrative work with occasional off-site responsibilities throughout Oahu.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in building a career in Hawaii real estate and property management. Unlike many real estate positions, this role is hourly and not commission-based.
You will receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced real estate sales agents and property managers. You will gain practical experience with the systems, software, and processes used in the real estate and property management industry.

ZipForm – real estate forms and electronic signatures
Buildium – property management and bookkeeping
QuickBooks Online – bookkeeping and financial management
Responsibilities:
Assist with the daily operations of our real estate sales and property management office.
Provide administrative support to property managers and real estate agents.
Help market rental and sale properties through online platforms and social media.
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from clients, tenants, property owners, vendors, and prospective customers.
Schedule maintenance and coordinate with vendors, tenants, and property owners.
Prepare, organize, and process lease agreements and related documentation.
Assist with tenant move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
Maintain accurate and organized transaction and property management files.
Perform basic bookkeeping and financial recordkeeping using QuickBooks Online, including:
Classifying income and expenses
Using Classes or Tags to track individual properties
Recording and organizing financial transactions
Assist with bookkeeping and property accounting in Buildium, including:
Tracking rental income
Processing and managing vendor bills
Managing security deposit trust accounts
Reconciling bank statements
Processing owner distributions
Assist with other administrative and operational duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Previous bookkeeping experience using QuickBooks Online is required.
Previous experience in real estate, property management, office administration, or document management is preferred but not required.
A Hawaii Real Estate License is preferred but not required.
Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Comfortable working with online platforms, property management software, and social media.
Ability to learn new software, systems, and technology quickly.
Comfortable with basic math and financial concepts, including rent calculations and routine bookkeeping entries.
College degree or relevant coursework is preferred; equivalent work experience, particularly in bookkeeping, will also be considered.
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and the ability to travel throughout Oahu as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications, including whether the position is part-time or full-time and whether the applicant holds a Hawaii Real Estate License.
