Position Overview

At Home Hawaii is seeking a motivated Real Estate Sales & Property Management Assistant for a part-time, hybrid position based in our Honolulu office. This role includes a combination of on-site office work and occasional off-site responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in launching a career in Hawaii real estate. You'll receive hands-on training while working alongside experienced real estate sales agents and property managers, learning the systems and processes used throughout the industry. For individuals planning to obtain a Hawaii real estate license, this position offers valuable experience while earning a competitive hourly wage.

You will gain experience using industry-leading software, including:

  • Hawaii Multiple Listing Service (MLS)
  • ZipForms (real estate forms and electronic signatures)
  • Buildium (property management software)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations of the real estate sales and property management office.
  • Support property managers and real estate agents with administrative tasks.
  • Help market rental and sale properties through online platforms and social media.
  • Respond promptly to client, tenant, and owner inquiries.
  • Schedule maintenance and coordinate with vendors and tenants.
  • Prepare, organize, and process lease agreements and related documentation.
  • Assist with tenant move-ins, move-outs, and lease renewals.
  • Maintain organized transaction files for real estate sales and property management.
  • Enter maintenance requests and basic bookkeeping information into company software.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed to support the team.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in real estate, property management, office administration, or document management is preferred but not required.
  • Hawaii Real Estate License is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Comfortable using online platforms, Google Workspace, and social media.
  • Ability to learn new software and technology quickly.
  • Comfortable with basic math and financial concepts, including rent calculations and simple bookkeeping entries.
  • College degree or coursework is preferred, though relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable insured vehicle, and be willing to travel locally as needed. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Compensation

$20.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience and whether the applicant holds a Hawaii Real Estate License (license not required).
