The Ala Moana Hotel’s Reservations Team is often the first point of contact for our guests and creating a positive first impression is pivotal. The role can be challenging at times but for individuals who innately possess exceptional customer service skills, a charming sales personality and a passion for hospitality, the reservations agent position is ideal. Responsibilities include:

  • Answering telephone inquiries and be able to retrieve and respond to email correspondence.
  • Assist prospective guests by providing accurate information regarding availability, accommodation types, rates, cancel and deposit policies and promote hotel marketing programs (offer hotel specials and promotions and conditions of programs).
  • Enter, change, cancel individual reservations in our Property Management System in accordance with existing booking procedures and maintain reservations records in chronological files.

Qualified Candidates must possess:

  • The ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
  • Japanese language skills are preferred.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Previous customer experience and ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Exceptional problem solving skills and
  • The ability to work by themselves or part of a team
