Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience by assisting customers, managing inventory, and driving sales through exceptional service and product knowledge. We're a long time family business in the community. We're looking for someone who can work in the mornings and Saturdays. 

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and ascertain their shopping needs.
• Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and offering assistance with product selection.
• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Maintain an organized stockroom and ensure that shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing.
• Engage in upselling techniques to promote additional products that complement customer purchases.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
• Adhere to store policies regarding phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns.
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers positively.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with cash register operations is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
• Experience in stock management and merchandising is desirable.
• A proactive approach to upselling products to enhance the customer experience.
