Job Description

The Hawaii International Film Festival is currently seeking a Sponsorship and Marketing Manager. The Sponsorship and Marketing Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and HIFF staff to manage and develop all festival sponsorship, as well as both year-round and Festival specific marketing campaigns. This will include managing sponsor fulfillment, benefits, and activation. This position reports directly to the Executive Director, but will work collaboratively with all departments of the HIFF team. Some evening/weekend work may be required, as well as additional hours required during the film festival.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage annual HIFF sponsors from prospecting through execution; including renewal of cash and in-kind sponsorships, creating contracts and proposals for new sponsors, relationship cultivation, and additional duties as needed
  • Work with Executive Director to develop new sponsor streams and cash sponsor opportunities for both the Fall Festival and Spring Showcase each year
  • Research new sponsors for the 2018 Festival and beyond
  • Manage the fulfillment of all sponsor benefits including tickets, badges, event invitations, and ad/logo promotion in HIFF materials
  • Ensure that all sponsor collateral (logos and ads, etc) are properly placed in all HIFF print, online, and in-theater materials
  • Act as primary sponsor contact before and during the festival for any additional sponsor fulfillment, benefits and needs
  • Work with Sponsors to activate all HIFF marketing across platforms including print, online, television, and radio media and other platforms
  • Manage data collection and analytics as needed for sponsorship and grant reporting
  • Grant writing and reporting as needed
  • Manage the Festival’s marketing campaign for both annual Fall Festivals and Spring Showcase editions each year, including creating and managing marketing timeline, production of materials, and acting as primary liaison for marketing and design team.
  • Manage Festival’s year-round branding and marketing, including off-season campaigns, and year-round materials with Executive Director
  • Support, collaborate, and attend HIFF annual events, activities, screenings, etc.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized and motivated
  • Team player who can also work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and is not afraid to ask questions.
  • Fluency in Mac-based applications including MS Office, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Experience working with computer database systems and contracts preferred
  • Knowledge of international cinema, Hawaiian, Asian Pacific American communities, issues, and organizations preferred
  • Experience in non-profit fundraising or development preferred
  • Must have own computer, preferably a Mac
  • Must reside in Hawaii
