Job Description
The Sanitation Worker is a critical member of our custodial team to ensure our facilities are neat, clean, food and work-safe, free from clutter, and sanitized. In this role, you will use FDA-approved chemicals to sanitize all components of our food production and processing equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Lead and management to complete the facility's sanitation daily, weekly, and monthly checklists.
- Wash and sanitize production equipment, including machines and removable parts
- Wipe, sweep, mop, vacuum or use industrial cleaning equipment to clean all facility
- Clean trays and other tools used for production
- Clean walls, light fixtures, and ceilings of all areas of product manufacturing and storing
- Clean and stocks all restrooms of the facility
- Refill and restock paper towels, soap, hand sanitizers, and gloves in the production facilities
- Remove trash and recycling to its designated disposal areas
- Report any broken or missing parts that may impact the use or affect quality and safety of our products
- Additional tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED
- Able to perform physical labor, spending an extended time in sometimes hot and cold environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100lbs
- Work cleanly and efficiently
- Uphold all sanitation practices (i.e., frequent hand washing, refill soap and hand towel, refill sanitizer stations)
- Ability to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions and labels.
- Speaks and understands conversational English
- Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships
- Ability to embody the values of Sun Noodle (humility, respect, honesty, integrity, and compassion.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Knowledge of proper use of a wide range of cleaning chemicals preferred.
WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE
Must be able to provide supporting documentation to verify employment authorization for work in the United States.
