Job Description

At HFA, our company culture is built on a foundation of respect, diversity, commitment and partnership. We are a locally owned food distributor, in business over 18 years bringing in perishable foods from the West Coast and distributing them through the Hawaiian island chain.  Our Sanitation Worker is responsible for performing a wide variety of sanitation duties to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment in a full-time position.



  • Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools: scrubbers, high-speed buffers, vacuums, brooms, mops, squeegees, dustpans, mop buckets, etc.
  • Perform variety of deep cleaning and sanitation duties to interior and exterior of the building, warehouse and shipping area.
  • Perform cleaning activities on floors, walls, racks, ceilings, guardrails and fixtures.
  • Perform facility rodent trap inspection.
  • Report to a facility manager for issues.
  • Must follow specific instructions and procedures for occupational and food safety.
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
