We are looking for a professional, reliable, responsible customer service focused team member. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills and enjoys hands on work on equipment and continuous learning. The Company will provide training (you don’t need prior water or ice machine experience), tools, and a service vehicle.

Pay is dependent on experience and we offer Health, Dental and Vision and paid time off.

Position Description:

Full-time (40 hours+) Senior Field Technician needed to install and service for the Honolulu office of a rapidly growing commercial water and ice equipment service company.

The Senior Water and Ice Technician needs to perform all of the details related to the installation, service and repair of the water filtration systems, water coolers and ice machines which are at commercial and industrial customer sites, primarily on Oahu but also on Neighbor Islands.

Specific Skills You Should Have Include:

  • Extraordinary technical skills (i.e. you can “fix anything”)
  • Complete comfort and confidence with speaking to clients
  • Fanatical attention to detail and organization
  • Extremely high energy and works at a fast pace
  • Experience working as a technician, facilities management, building engineering, or related field
  • Complete comfort with using iPhones/iPads to do research on the fly and find answers by themselves
  • Quickly learns new technology and comfortable finding answers by calling tech support on the mainland when needed

  • Someone who is upbeat, personable, and gets along well with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
  • Someone who has excellent judgement and understands which details are critically important and cannot be overlooked and which can be ignored in order to get the job done quickly and meet the client’s needs.
  • A dynamic person who can switch projects and focus with ease, and can easily multi-task between various projects. Things can and do change directions, and this should be both expected and anticipated!
  • Someone who loves (not likes, but loves) talking to customers. This is critical as you will be the face of the Company for our customers.
  • An "If I don't know the answer, I'll find it" personality. We encounter new opportunities every day and don't always have the answers internally. You'll often have to pick up the phone, “dig around,” or do some research to get an answer.
  • Someone who can take a project and just "get it done." We don't want to hear about the problems that come up, we simply want the results agreed upon to be completed on schedule and to spec, no excuses.
  • A love of schedules, both making and following through on them. Make sure that things that are scheduled by the office get done, but also the stuff that isn’t, everyday/week/month/year.
  • Someone who can work independently. Most of the time, you will be working alone in the field at customer businesses. You need to be able to work on your own, answer your own questions and move ahead without waiting. You will have access to help if you need it and the Company will provide extensive training, but most of the time you MUST be able to complete your tasks on your own with minimal interaction with us.
  • Someone who will take ownership of and accountability for open issues. For example, if a customer has an issue that wasn’t your fault, you will recognize it, and do what it takes to resolve the issue without being told to do it.
  • Someone who is willing to work after hours and on weekends when called for. We respect your time outside of work on nights and weekends, but every so often there are situations when customers really need us and you have to be willing to respond.
  • Someone who always says “Aloha!” or "Good morning!" and leaves their personal life at home. When you're at work, you're at work and no matter what happened before you walked in the door, you're "present" when you're on the job.
