Job Description

Nakupuna Solutions is seeking a Business Intelligence Consultant, Senior in the Philadelphia, PA; Phoenix, AZ; or Honolulu, HI Metro Areas. This position performs as a member of the enterprise business intelligence maintenance and development team to support the optimization, integration, and development of BI systems. The desired candidate must meet the requirements below and will be compensated based on their qualifications.


  • Documented experience in the Design, development, testing, and deployment of BI solutions (applications, reports and dashboards) using Qlik Sense in an Agile development environment
  • At least 4 years of direct Business Intelligence solution development in a high-velocity environment in related BI products (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, Salesforce Wave, etc.)
  • Working with business analysts and business users to gather and interpret business requirements for multiple system data sources including large data warehouses.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in database development techniques, processes and languages
  • Work with a cross-functional team of developers and business analysts to deliver on strategic data and analytics initiatives.
  • Follows data standards, resolves data issues, completes unit testing and completes system documentation for ETL processes
  • Collaborate with business analysts, source system experts, and other team members to determine data extraction and transformation requirements
  • Support development activities to include but limited creating New Reports and Dashboards for widespread use by stakeholders to address specific use cases
  • Modifications to existing reports and dashboards, including:
  • Conversion of existing QlikView dashboards to Qlik Sense; maintenance and enhancements to the dashboards
  • Maintenance and enhancements to all existing Qlik Sense dashboards, and to Qlik Sense reports and dashboards to be developed by the contractor.
  • Curated data library consisting of clean, validated, analysis-ready data sources where designated users can easily combine to build ad hoc dashboards on the fly without needing to write any code.
  • A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or Engineering or information systems or related field (or equivalent experience) required. Master’s in Quantitative Analysis fields preferred.
  • The candidates must possess minimum of 5+ years of software development experience with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Qlik Sense visualization development and related visualization experience with QlikView in Agile development environment
  • Experience with Qlik Geoanalytics.
  • Experience with diverse datasets including ArcGIS, Oracle, SQL Server, No SQL, and unstructured data
  • Qlik Sense data modeling and ETL or related experience with Qlik Sense.
  • Have developed a solution/framework for provisioning data for consumption by business users use Qlik applications
  • 4+ years extensive experience working with Business Intelligence/data visualization tools
  • 2+ years' experience utilizing QlikView/Qlik Sense to implement complex analytical solutions which access data from multiple sources
  • Experience developing complex Qlik Sense data models.
  • Knowledge on Qlik Sense server architecture and building QVDs and QVWs, applying business rules and data validations
  • Advanced scripting and ETL, data modeling (star schema); Working with large data sets;
  • Experience with MS SQL to include knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
  • Familiarity with BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI, Cognos, BO and OLAP tools.


  • BI related certification (Qlik Sense Developer certification is a plus)
  • MS SQL Server certification desirable
  • AWS or Azure certification is plus and highly desirable

Clearance Requirements: Active SECRET or higher clearance preferred. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
