State Trauma Program Accountant

$4,413 - $5,167 monthly, salary commensurate w/ training and experience


Exempt, temporary, fulltime, non-civil service appointment.  The primary purpose of this position will provide fiscal and contracting support for the Emergency Medical Services and Injury Prevention System Branch Trauma Program. The State Trauma Program Accountant will perform a variety of duties independently including processing and management of contracts, budgets, purchase orders, p card transactions, C-41s, and invoices related to the State Trauma System. This position also provided procurement guidance and support for the State Trauma System.



Minimum Qualifications


EDUCATION:  Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with a bachelor’s degree.


GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  One and one-half years of progressively responsible professional work experience involving a high degree of analytical skill which involved gathering, evaluating, and analyzing facts and other pertinent information required for problem resolution and/or determination of appropriate action.


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  Two years of progressively responsible professional work experience involving fiscal monitoring and evaluating of programs or projects to make recommendations for the development or revision of standards, policies, procedures, or techniques; gathering and analyzing data to determine conformance with laws, standards and requirements and recommending improvements or developing training materials; giving technical advice and direction pertaining to program standards, requirements, or techniques.


LICENSE:  A valid license to drive a vehicle in the State of Hawaii, or the ability to utilize alternative methods of transportation when needed to carry out job related essential functions.
