Job Description:
What are we looking for?
As the Retail Store Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing our store’s daily operations. Your responsibilities will include driving sales and profitability and creating an exceptional shopping experience for visitors. You will help tell our brand story, foster a culture of aloha, and maintain operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Experience: Provide an exceptional shopping experience, sharing the brand’s story and product details.
2. Sales Strategy & Performance: Track and meet sales targets, optimize cross-selling, and develop strategies to increase traffic and customer acquisition.
3. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, receive shipments, perform audits, and adjust stock as needed.
4. Operational Oversight: Ensure compliance with company policies, review operational reports, and manage daily sales receipts.
5. Store Presentation: Maintain store appearance, ensure stock is replenished, and collaborate with the Visual Team for optimal merchandising.
6. Leadership by Example: Lead clientelling efforts, build customer relationships, and expand the customer base.
7. Community Engagement & Events: Plan in-store events and develop relationships within the local community.
8. Performance Reviews & Feedback: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching, and address issues proactively.
9. Cash & Payroll Management: Oversee cash handling procedures and approve bi-weekly payroll.
10. Staffing & Hiring: work with HR to recruit, interview, and hire qualified sales associates to ensure proper store staffing.
11. Scheduling: Create efficient schedules for the team based on peak store hours.
12. Team Motivation & Coaching: Inspire enthusiasm, coach staff to deliver top customer service, and ensure continuous training.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises between 3-7 non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include conducting interviews, hiring and training employees, planning and assigning tasks, and overseeing work. Additionally, you'll assess employee performance, provide recognition and discipline as needed, and address complaints and resolve issues.
