(Part-Time, On-Call Position)
Hanahau‘oli School seeks experienced and flexible educators to serve as Substitute Teachers across Junior Kindergarten through 6th-grade levels. Substitute Teachers are responsible for maintaining a safe, caring, and engaging environment while delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring continuity of learning during the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This position reports to the Director of Faculty & Curriculum.
Candidates must present a strong orientation to progressive philosophy and teaching methods and possess a solid understanding of child development. Substitute Teachers are expected to effectively support the school’s mission and beliefs, demonstrate flexibility and professionalism, and contribute to the joyful spirit of the school community.
Substitute Teachers are also expected to respond promptly to substitute requests and make every reasonable effort to accept assignments when available, in order to support the continuity and smooth operation of school life.

Hanahau‘oli is an independent school with 227 students in Junior Kindergarten through 6th grade.
