TELEHEALTH WORKING GROUP COORDINATOR (CLINICAL & ACCESS) – ID# 226514.

Regular, Full-Time, Limited-Term (not to exceed twelve (12) months in duration from date of hire), RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Pili Ola: Hawaiʻi Rural Health Transformation Telehealth Initiative, located on Oahu, Hawaiʻi, Kauai, Lanai, Maui, or Molokai.  Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws. 


MONTHLY SALARY RANGE:  $5,500 - $5,833.33/Mon. 


DUTIES:  Coordinates and advances telehealth and digital health initiatives related to clinical applications, healthcare access, and community-based telehealth services. Supports the Clinical Applications and Access Working Groups by coordinating stakeholder engagement, facilitating collaboration among partners, tracking priorities and action items established by the Coordinating Council, and supporting implementation of strategic initiatives. Works closely with the Executive Director, Program Director, consultants, healthcare providers, community organizations, and project partners to expand access to telehealth services throughout Hawaiʻi. Assists with project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, evaluation activities, and partner coordination to ensure alignment with CMS requirements and Pili Ola program objectives.  Drives and travels to project sites.


PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Social Work, Human Services, Health Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

Three to five (3-5) years of professional experience coordinating healthcare programs, public health projects, community-based programs, healthcare access initiatives, stakeholder engagement activities, or related efforts.

KNOWLEDGE

Working knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, telehealth services, healthcare access challenges, community-based health programs, project coordination principles, and stakeholder engagement practices. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, virtual meeting platforms, project tracking tools, and communication technologies.

ABILITIES & SKILLS

Strong ability to coordinate multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines. Ability to convene stakeholders, facilitate collaboration, and maintain productive working relationships with diverse partners and organizations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to prepare reports, presentations, meeting materials, and program documentation. Ability to identify issues, develop recommendations, and support implementation of complex initiatives. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Must possess a valid driver’s license (and if use of personal vehicle on the job is required, must also have valid personal driver’s insurance equivalent to Hawai‘i’s No-Fault Driver’s Insurance) and maintain throughout the duration of employment. Post Offer/Employment Condition: Must be able to pass a post offer criminal background check. Must be able to complete the UH Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) within two (2) weeks from date of hire, and re-certify every twelve (12) months.

PHYSICAL/MEDICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, speaking, and use of computers and communication devices. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials and equipment weighing up to twenty-five (25) pounds with assistance if necessary. Frequent travel, including inter-island travel, may be required.

POLICY/REGULATORY REQUIREMENT

As a condition of employment, employee will be subject to all applicable RCUH policies, procedures, and trainings and, as applicable, subject to the University of Hawai‘i's HIPAA/PHI privacy and security policy. Violation of the RCUH's, the UH's, or the business entity's policies and/or procedures or applicable State or Federal laws and/or regulations may lead to disciplinary action (including, but not limited to possible termination of employment, personal fines, civil and/or criminal penalties, etc.). Must complete the University of Hawai‘i's HIPAA/PHI privacy and security training immediately after hire or not later than employee’s initial exposure to HIPAA/PHI. Must maintain a current status on the University’s and/or the business entity's training requirements.


SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS:    

Experience coordinating telehealth programs, digital health initiatives, healthcare access projects, or community-based health services. Experience working with Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, rural, or underserved communities. Experience supporting federally funded, CMS-funded, other DHHS-funded, or grant-funded programs. Experience working with healthcare providers, health systems, federally qualified health centers, community health centers, or community-based organizations. Experience with project management, implementation planning, evaluation activities, performance measurement, or quality improvement initiatives. Knowledge of healthcare access challenges affecting rural and underserved communities in Hawaiʻi.
