At Hawaii Foodservice Alliance (HFA), we're proud to be Hawai‘i's largest locally owned supplier of perishable foods and logistics services. Every day, our teams help keep products moving, support local businesses, and feed communities across the islands.

Behind everything we do are the people who make it possible. That's where you come in.

We're looking for a motivated, relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist with 2–4 years of recruiting experience who enjoys connecting with people, recognizing potential, and helping others find meaningful career opportunities.

You'll play an important role in bringing great people into HFA, from drivers and warehouse team members to merchandising and corporate professionals. Working closely with hiring managers and our HR team, you'll help keep recruiting moving while creating a positive experience for every candidate.

We're looking for someone who's proactive, organized, dependable, and ready to take ownership of their work while continuing to grow their career in Talent Acquisition.

What You'll Do

  • Manage recruiting activities across multiple positions, from sourcing candidates through the hiring process
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, priorities, and position requirements
  • Proactively source and engage candidates through job boards, referrals, networking, and community outreach
  • Review applications, conduct phone screenings, and identify qualified candidates
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain communication with candidates and hiring managers
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future opportunities
  • Manage job postings, candidate information, and recruiting activity within our applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Follow up on hiring decisions and help keep the recruitment process moving efficiently
  • Participate in career fairs, hiring events, and community recruiting initiatives
  • Support recruiting reports, hiring updates, and employer branding efforts
  • Share ideas to improve sourcing strategies, recruiting processes, and the candidate experience
  • Assist with onboarding and other HR initiatives as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, or Human Resources with hands-on recruiting responsibilities
  • Experience sourcing candidates, conducting screenings, and coordinating interviews
  • Familiarity with full-cycle recruiting and managing multiple open positions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
  • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and a sense of urgency
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with Hawai‘i's local workforce and recruiting market is a plus
