Pay: $18.00 per hour

The Temporary Warehouse Specialist position is a 1 YEAR TEMPORARY HIRE who provides support to all aspects of the warehouse operation. Duties include working distributions, forklift driving, non-cdl truck and van deliveries and pick-ups, inventory control, receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, filling orders, cycle counts, assisting dispatch center and helping with administrative duties for inputting data, producing reports, daily balancing and assist with scaling for agencies.

• Assist shipping and receiving unloading trucks and checking in merchandise
• Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; organizing pallets; setting up orders in delivery area for pick up
• Sort and place products/items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
• Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through warehouse management system.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and work stations neat; Sweep, dust and mop.
• Organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness at all times
• Wear proper safety equipment at all times
• Assists in receiving stock and nonstock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct.
• Reads Agency orders, shopping lists to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Moves items from receiving to salvage areas to other designated areas.
• Sorts and restocks items on racks, shelves, or pallets according to predetermined specifications.
• Assist with picking up and delivering orders over designated routes and ensuring safe operation of vehicles.
• Assist in researching inventory variances and reporting their root cause.
• Assist in making recommendations and setting policies to prevent recurring inventory issues.

• Conduct cycle counts and quarterly inventory.
• Responsible for the accurate maintenance of the inventory database and physical rotation of products.
• Maintain an accurate, consistent, and enhanced inventory reporting structure.
• Input product descriptions in current inventory and database.
• Turn-in records and files of all inventory transactions, product activity and inventory issues or discrepancies.
• Responsible for administrative duties including answering phone and email inquiries, mail processing, order supplies, organize and maintain department files, create and maintain computer files, databases, spreadsheets, documents, etc. as needed.
• Assist with Dispatch as requested.
• Assist with the preparation of specified Operations reports to ensure the efficient, ongoing operations.
• Maintain accurate records on vehicles, equipment and building maintenance.
• Maintain records of dumped pounds and recycled items.
• Produce and distribute order summaries for agency pickup orders on all order days.
• Schedules appointments for agency shopping
• Oversee security log and badge distribution/collection
• Help with scaling goods for agencies
• Assist with balancing invoices and donation receipts daily.
• Create and document department Procedures
• Assist with department training on Warehouse management system and ERP.
• Review and provide feedback on Item Master List and coding
• Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times. Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
• Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety rules. Inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.

• Valid Hawaii Driver’s License
• Warehouse Experience
• Forklift Experience

• Pallet Jack Experience

College Degree; or 4+ years administrative/cashier related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply all concepts of bookkeeping and all generally accepted accounting procedures.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Company delivery Van and Non-CDL Truck
• May also require the occasional use of computer equipment, calculator, fax, copier, and telephone.
• The noise level is moderate to loud at times.
