TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Temporary up to 6/30/2022 and may be renewed subject to funding availability and approval



DIVISION: Proposed Transportation Rail Division

POSITION: Utility Worker II WS-03

LOCATION OF POSITION: Rail Operations Center, 635/645 Middle Street, Other



DUTIES SUMMARY: Supervises and participates in performing various janitorial, groundskeeping and unskilled or semi-skilled manual laboring tasks; and performs other related duties as required.


TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Experience and/or training of sufficient scope and quality to show competence in custodial, groundskeeping and/or manual labor tasks, including minor semi-skilled building maintenance work.


LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Possession of an appropriate valid Hawaii State driver's license, as required.


KNOWLEDGE OF: Methods, materials and equipment used in cleaning buildings and maintaining ground areas; basic safety principles and precautions.


ABILITY TO: Give and follow oral and written instructions; operate hand and power equipment and tools; perform heavy lifting and moving; care for and maintain ground areas; clean and make simple maintenance repairs to buildings and equipment therein.
