Job Description

Responsible for the overall administration and development of Lanakila Pacific's Workforce Development division.   Provides leadership in developing and allocating resources and ensuring the highest standards of performance, efficiency, service and accountability in meeting the organization’s mission and values.  Work in conjunction with the Marketing Department to implement an ongoing marketing plan to increase public awareness, develop private and public partnerships, initiate resource development activities and increase community involvement with the programs. 

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 

  • Provides leadership for the direction and development of the organizational vision and strategic initiatives. Coordinates departments and staff to support team collaboration to meet the mission and core values of Lanakila Pacific.

  • Provides leadership in the continuous enhancement of Lanakila Pacific’s programs resulting in an efficient service delivery system with positive program and individual outcomes.  Drives the organization to profitability and meets its social and business goals and objectives. Responsible for the continuation of on-going grants and contracts as well as identifying new business opportunities and works to streamline current business operations.

  • Ensures compliance with laws, regulations, standards and policies of the organization and its governing bodies.  Includes compliance with professional performance standards that leads to accreditation (e.g., CARF).

  • Facilitates the development and implementation of an effective personnel administration plan, to include hiring recommendations, comprehensive staff training, staff supervision, evaluation of work performance, establishing a performance standard and offering opportunities for personal growth and career advancement.

  • Works with directors and managers to establish program and department goals to ensure contract compliance, outcome measurements, client satisfaction and quality assurance.

  • Maintains a statistical reporting system that will provide information on a monthly, quarterly and fiscal year basis.

  • Monitor, analyze and update the yearly program budget (income and expenditures) to reflect accomplishment of program objectives. Manages the division for positive financial outcomes.

  • Establish a positive working relationship with other related community programs (related services), business organizations (partnership relationships), as well as federal, State, City & County of Honolulu agencies, foundations (funding sources), and SourceAmerica.

 

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Supervises direct reports on all matters.

  2. Conducts performance appraisals as required.

  • Technology:  proficient to intermediate skills in Microsoft office products and standard office equipment and tools to complete job requirements, submit reports, and to eliminate administrative tasks empower employees, and meet other needs of the organization.


 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

  • Baccalaureate degree in business administration, or related field from an accredited institution with business experience.  Masters preferred.

  • A minimum of five years related management and supervisory experience at the VP/Executive Management level.

  • Valid Driver’s license and willingness to use properly insured car.

  • Must be able to obtain a gate pass to access military installations.
