Wedding Coordinator – Catholic Church Job Description

The Wedding Coordinator assists couples in preparing for and celebrating the Sacrament of Matrimony within theCatholic Church. This role ensures that wedding ceremonies follow the guidelines and traditions of the Church whileproviding a welcoming, prayerful, and organized environment for the couple, their families, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate wedding ceremony details with the couple, priest or deacon, and parish staff.

• Ensure compliance with parish policies and Catholic liturgical guidelines.

• Confirm wedding dates, rehearsal times, and ceremony arrangements.

• Coordinate the wedding rehearsal and assist the wedding party with ceremony procedures.

• Oversee church setup, including seating, flowers, decorations, and other approved arrangements.

• Provide guidance to the couple and wedding party regarding proper church etiquette and expectations.

• Ensure the ceremony runs smoothly while maintaining the reverence and sacredness of the church.

• Serve as a welcoming and professional representative of the parish.
