Job Summary:
The Youth Partner is responsible for engaging with youth, young adults and/or families in a community, home, or school setting. The primary role is to provide hope, one-on-one peer support and mentorship to participants by strategically sharing experience with recovery/resilience and expertise in navigating systems and programs. The Youth Partner will act as a key team member of the youth’s service team, by providing peer support to youth in the Department of Health (DOH); supporting youth voice and empowerment by assisting the youth in development so as to improve their overall functioning and quality of life; and support in furthering authentic youth engagement in their DOH treatment team. The Youth Partner will also participate in meetings and/or training as deemed appropriate, provide timely and thorough documentation, and perform general office work.
