Job Description

A local company is seeking an Accounting and Payroll Admin Assistant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining financial operations and ensuring smooth payroll processing. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounts payable and receivable, as well as experience in payroll administration. This is a temporary position with the intention to become permanent for the right candidate. Parking is provided.

Hours

Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$21 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Assist with payroll duties, including data entry and verification.
  • Reconcile financial records and reports.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and human resources teams.
  • Respond to inquiries from employees, vendors, and clients regarding financial matters.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in handling accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Previous experience in payroll processing.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and payroll systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
