Administrative Assistant / Customer Service (201271-5)

Are you looking for long-term, stable employment? We're looking for a mature and courteous candidate for a full-time opening with a local memorial business consisting of over 25 acres. Prior experience navigating trust, probate, or power of attorney documents is a plus.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$15 to $18 an hour

Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Answer phones and assist walk-ins.
  • Help visitors find burial locations by providing coordinates on a map.
  • Meet families to make arrangements for burial services (once properly trained).
  • Assist with documenting ownership changes.
  • Research records to respond to various inquiries and handle families? concerns and complaints.
  • Support sales staff as needed.

Administration

  • Follow through on orders and documentation after meetings with customers.
  • Process payments, contracts, and ownership documents.
  • Reconcile daily or weekly cash receipts.
  • Record data for historical reference (manual and computerized).

Qualifications

  • Experience navigating through trust, probate, or power of attorney documents a plus.
  • Familiarity with spelling and pronunciation of local names and streets preferred.
  • Good Word, Excel, and computer skills with the ability to learn new programs.
  • Basic accounting knowledge or excellent math.
  • Able to work with our families in a mature and courteous manner (relative to the nature of our memorial business).
  • Detail-oriented and accurate.
