Job Description

Are you ready to be at the center of the action? We are looking for energetic, high-integrity individuals to work as Ballot Scanners for the 2026 General Election. This is a unique opportunity to play a vital role in the voting process, ensuring that every vote is counted accurately and efficiently!

Please note that parking is not provided in the capitol except for the first day of training, October 9. Taking the bus or getting dropped off is the best option to reporting in for the assignment. There is also street parking and other parking garages nearby. Please research the parking options as rates vary.

10/09/26: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Training Day) 10/10/26: 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM (Ballot Scan Test) 10/19/26: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM 10/20/26 – 10/24/26: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Note: 10/25 CLOSED) 10/26/26 – 10/31/26: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Note: 11/01 CLOSED) 11/02/26: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM 11/03/26: 12:00 PM - 11:59 PM (Election Day) 11/04/26: 12:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Post Election Day) 11/05/26 – 11/07/26: 9:00 AM - 9:00 PM (Recount Days if necessary)

Responsibilities

  • Scan in mail-in ballots to ensure accurate processing for both the primary and general elections.
  • Work with scanning equipment in a focused, fast-paced environment where precision and efficiency are required.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to handle high volumes of documents quickly while maintaining 100% accuracy.
  • Comfortable operating scanning machinery and basic computer interfaces.
  • Must be punctual and adaptable. Staff must be flexible with the schedule, as you may be dismissed early on days when ballot volume is lower than expected.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow strict security protocols.
