Job Description

A well-established organization is seeking a detail-oriented Billing & Accounts Coordinator to support daily billing operations and customer account management. This role is responsible for maintaining account records, researching discrepancies, preparing financial documentation, and working with internal teams and customers to resolve billing-related inquiries.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and customer service are equally important.

There is no onsite parking provided. Public parking is available nearby.

Hours

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with 1/2 hour lunch

Pay

$18 to $20 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Maintain customer account records and monitor outstanding balances.
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment questions, and account-related inquiries.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments by phone and email.
  • Prepare journal entries and assist with routine accounting support functions.
  • Review financial records and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with internal compliance procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and supporting documentation.
  • Support month-end activities and other accounting or administrative projects as assigned.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of departmental objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of general office, billing, accounting support, or administrative experience; additional experience may be considered for higher-level placement.
  • Previous experience with accounts receivable, collections, billing support, or property & casualty insurance is preferred.
  • Experience using enterprise billing, accounting, or insurance management software is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Keyboarding skills of 35+ WPM.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Positive attitude and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime as business needs require.
