Job Description

A dynamic technical solutions company is seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk to work closely with their Accounting Manager & Chief Financial Officer. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and light payroll.

Responsibilities include processing daily financial activities, working on payroll, following up on invoices, resolving invoice discrepancies and communicating with vendors each day.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift


Honolulu, Oahu


$19 to $30 an hour


  • Manage the full cycle of accounting activities.
  • Process account payable.
  • Process invoices for clients and customers.
  • Contact customers by phone, by email or in person to explain billing adjustments.
  • Prepare bank statements.
  • Process accounts receivable.
  • Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Process employee timesheets.
  • Manage the payroll system for 100 employees.
  • Create and maintain new customer files.
  • Prepare daily deposits.
  • Record payments received via ACH and Credit Cards. Check against customers open invoices.
  • Maintain records and filing systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.


  • 3 years of experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
  • 1 year of payroll experience.
  • Experience with Journal Entry.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with others.
  • Covid-19 vaccination required by client for this position. This is not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
