Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk (223000-14)
A local firm is seeking a Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk to join their team and help manage all accounting activities, including accounts payable and accounts receivable duties, processing payroll and invoices, resolving discrepancies, and corresponding with vendors. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager and CFO.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift
Location
Downtown, Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$26 to $27 an hour
Responsibilities
- Help manage all accounting activities.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices for clients and customers.
- Contact customers to explain billing adjustments.
- Record payments received via ACH and credit cards.
- Create and maintain new customer files.
- Prepare bank statements and daily deposits.
- Maintain accuracy of the general ledger.
- Maintain records and filing systems.
- Manage payroll system and process payroll.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience using Microsoft Office.
- 1 year payroll experience.
- Previous experience with using Journal Entry.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred, but not required.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Motivated, dependable, and trustworthy.
- Able to pass a state/federal background check.
