Business Development Consultant (222770-60)
A local Kama'aina company, seeking a performance-driven Business Development Consultant to generate new business and expand our client base. This role is responsible for identifying opportunities, leading consultative sales engagements and closing complex deals.
Hours
Full-time, Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:30pm
Location
Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$75,000 a year
Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, and other outreach efforts.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads in Salesforce ensuring accurate documentation of all interactions.
- Research businesses and industries to understand their HR needs.
- Conduct in-depth HR assessments using company-provided tools and data gathering forms.
- Analyze key HR pain points related to payroll, benefits, compliance, and workforce management.
- Present tailored solutions that address specific client challenges.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and business objectives.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Manage the end-to-end sales process, from initial outreach to contract signing and handoff to implementation team.
- Attend networking events and business expos to generate leads and build brand awareness.
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly sales targets and performance metrics.
- Consistently generate net-new business through proactive prospecting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in HR, payroll, or professional services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
