Job Description

A busy retail store at Ala Moana is seeking bilingual and/or non-bilingual associates to assist their busy store through the end of the year, possibly longer.

Shifts will vary, but could normally be between 10:00am and 8:00pm Sunday through Saturday. Candidates must be able to work at least 30 hours per week.

Pay is dependent on whether or not the candidate is bilingual. For bilingual candidates, the client is looking for individuals fluent in both English and Japanese:

• Bilingual candidates: $21.50/hr
• Non-bilingual candidates: $18.50/hr

Full-time, Hours vary Sunday through Saturday 9:30am to 8:00pm

Pay

$18.50 to $21.50 an hour

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register and process various forms of payment including cash, credit cards, and checks.
• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
• Balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our products.
• Provide product recommendations and answer customer questions.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have previous retail experience.
• Bilingual Japanese-speaking skills preferred.
• Must be highly customer service oriented.
• Must be able to commit to at least 30 hours/week.
• TB clearance and background check are required.
