Job Description

We're immediately seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to fill a full-time opening with a reputable distributor. This role will serve as key member of the executive leadership team and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience within a senior financial role, excellent leadership abilities, and strong strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends and developing critical measurements.
• Collaborate with executive team to design systems, resolve problem, and implement change.
• Maintain strong internal financial controls and reporting systems.
• Provide strategic financial recommendations on short-term and long-term business planning.
• Direct and guide the annual financial planning, monthly management meetings and the budgeting process.
• Maintain and negotiate vendor and partner contracts.
• Forge strong industry relationships in Hawaii and the continent, including customers, vendors, and partners.
• Remain knowledgeable on industry, state, and company events and trends.
• Present financial statements, as prepared by Controller.
• Provide recommendations after review and analysis of monthly financial results.
• Maintain internal controls, reporting, tax, risk management, corporate finance, and capital projects.
• Manage leases and real property assets as well as lead expansion projects.
• Lead the process of continual improvement on efficiencies and controls.
• Collaborate with CTO and Business Intel Team regarding systems, inventory, and performance date.
• Plan future infrastructure and industry technology enhancements.
• Provide opportunities for team members to maximize their personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in the areas of accounting, finance, real estate transactions, financial reporting, tax, and complex financial analysis with at least 5 years in a senior financial role.
• Prior experience in distribution, logistics, inventory management or transportation.
• Advanced degree in accounting, tax or business and/or CPA preferred.
• Strategic and forward-thinking with excellent leadership skills.
• Ability to handle all aspects of the operation on all islands and California.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
