A wholesale distributer is looking for a highly experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer to join their dynamic organization. As a key member of the executive team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring the company's financial health and growth.
Hours
Full-time, Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm with evenings and weekends as needed
Location
Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$150,000 to $200,000 a year
Responsibilities
- Set financial and accounting system objectives, procedures, controls, and standards, proposing changes as necessary.
- Prepare and direct the preparation of financial statements, business activity reports, financial forecasts, annual budgets, and other reports.
- Prepare and file annual tax returns or provide information for outside accountants to complete tax returns.
- Monitor financial activities and details, such as reserve levels, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Determine depreciation rates for capitalized items and advise management on actions regarding purchase, lease, or disposal of such items.
- Conduct and coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions to ensure compliance.
- Analyze financial details of past, present, and expected operations to identify development opportunities and areas needing improvement.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 10-15 years of accounting experience.
- Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles/practices, standards, organizational policies and procedures, and federal and state policies and directives.
- Ability to understand and interpret agreements and contracts.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated computer aptitude.
- Familiarity with computerized accounting systems, preferably JD Edwards and DSI.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and Word.
