Job Description

Our client is seeking a self-motivated, hands-on leader to champion local engagement efforts and community-based programs. As the Community Engagement Specialist, you will serve as a connector between people, programs, and partnerships. You will also be responsible for fostering relationships, managing team efforts, and executing evens and services that support the greater community.

The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in community outreach or social services and a bachelor's degree in human services, education, or a related field.

Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay

$21 to $24 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement community programs, services, and events that promote connection, education, and access to resources.
  • Build relationships with residents, partners, and local organizations to strengthen collaboration and outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate and oversee volunteers, staff, and day-to-day activities related to service delivery and public engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records, track participation data, and support reporting needs for internal planning and external funding.
  • Represent the organization at community meetings and serve as a liaison for neighborhood initiatives and partnerships.
  • Manage logistics for events, donation drives, and essential distributions, including transportation and setup.
  • Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with ethical responsibilities, including mandated reporting when required.
  • Assist with internal coordination, cross-program promotion, and general support for mission-driven activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in community outreach, social services, or related program coordination.
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, education, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to get one in 6 months.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with basic office software (email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools).
  • Offer of employment contingent upon passing a state/federal background check and pre-employment drug test.
