Job Description

The Community Services Coordinator supports residents in affordable housing communities by facilitating programs and services that enhance quality of life, promote safety, encourage self-sufficiency, and strengthen community connections. This role collaborates with local partners, manages community spaces, and ensures residents have access to essential resources across wellness, education, financial stability, and social engagement. The Coordinator maintains program data, assists with resident referrals, and helps cultivate a supportive, inclusive environment for individuals and families.

Hours

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Location

  • Kalihi, Honolulu, Oahu
  • Downtown, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$22 to $25 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi‑generational programs (education, careers, finances, wellness, community safety).
  • Build and manage partnerships and volunteers to expand services.
  • Coordinate food access and essential resources for residents.
  • Provide light case coordination with goals, wellness check‑ins, referrals, and follow‑up.
  • Track outcomes and participation in data systems; report insights.
  • Create and distribute monthly calendars/newsletters and site communications.
  • Support small grants/donations to fund programs.
  • Collaborate with property management on resident support and compliance needs.
  • Manage community spaces, scheduling, and clean‑ups.
  • Collect resident feedback to improve programs.
  • Represent the site in meetings/trainings; occasional travel.
  • Support resident associations; work some evenings/weekends.
  • Other duties aligned with resident success and community impact.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Human Services, or a related field preferred, though equivalent experience may be considered.
  • One to three years of experience delivering social services, community programming, or related support within human services, education, or nonprofit environments.
  • Strong proficiency in common workplace software, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and other digital tools used for scheduling, communication, and data entry.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, partners, and team members.
  • Demonstrated strength in organizing projects, coordinating multiple activities, and managing timelines in a community‑based setting.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods and occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds.
