Job Description

The Counter Sales Coordinator is responsible for generating sales, preparing proposals and bids, coordinating customer orders, supporting project execution, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to understand construction plans and specifications.

Hours

Full-time, Monday- Friday 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$25 to $35 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Promote and sell company products to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries.
  • Create, manage, and maintain sales documentation and product information.
  • Prepare complete, accurate, and timely bids and proposals.
  • Coordinate project activities between customers and internal team members.
  • Monitor billing activities to ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
  • Communicate and manage change orders with customers.
  • Maintain ongoing communication between clients and coworkers to support project success.
  • Investigate and follow up on past-due accounts while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Participate in training programs to expand product knowledge and sales proficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of verifiable sales experience.
  • High School Diploma required; BA or BS degree preferred.
  • Proficient with computers, email, internet applications, and standard office equipment.
  • CAD or similar computer graphic design experience preferred.
  • Valid Hawaii driver's license required.
  • Previous construction industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, review, and understand blueprints, plans, and specifications.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Must pass a criminal background check, physical examination, and drug/alcohol screening.
  • Reliable attendance and strong accountability required.
