Job Description

Hawaii's leading distributor of agricultural and industrial supplies is seeking a motivated customer service professional to join their team as a Customer Service Coordinator. This role develops and maintains customer relations by assisting customers with product selection and education, scheduling delivery, setting up will call requirements and maintaining inventory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with product pricing, delivery and will-call requirements both in person & over the telephone.
  • Communicate delivery requirements such as quantities ordered and delivery times to warehouse personnel.
  • Advise customers of applicable product changes, provide technical and safety information, and/or recommend new products to customers.
  • Ensure validity of licenses and update database as necessary.
  • Input cash and credit card payments into system, prepare deposit slips and make bank runs.
  • Prepare and forward cash receipt reports and corresponding checks to the accounting department.
  • Resolve customer discrepancies on delivery tags and/or invoices.
  • Process credits and re-bill for corrections to customer accounts as necessary.
  • Handle customer complaints and problems.
  • Complete stock issue documents for use of inventory items, promotional materials, and damaged goods.
  • Perform other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-2 years of previous sales and/or office experience.
  • Experience with and/or knowledgeable of company's distributed materials (i.e., agricultural turf, pest control, industrial products) is desirable.
  • Familiar with, or ability to understand government regulations concerning the sale, usage, transportation of restricted and hazardous products.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Possess strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Possess excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to drive a vehicle without any physical limitations.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
