Customer Service Representative (223035-14)
One of Hawaii's local company voted Top Places to Work is seeking a Customer Service Representative for full-time work with a local company in the health insurance sector. In this role, you will answer calls and emails, respond to customer inquiries, and resolve customer issues. This position is usually the starting point, entry level, into the company.
The ideal candidate will have at least one year of clerical, customer service or sales experience and should be comfortable navigating around a computer.

Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Location
Downtown, Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$20 to $24 an hour
Responsibilities
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding eligibility, benefits, claim status and other plan information and/or issues.
- Coordinate benefits with Medicaid and other insurance carriers.
- Provide back-up support for Claims Processing with data entry and adjudicate claims as required.
- Adhere to established document policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of clerical, customer service, or sales experience required.
- Previous experience working in a high call volume work setting preferred.
- Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
- Ability to maintain focus, attention to detail, and a willingness to own and follow-up with tasks.
- Ability to handle all information in a confidential manner and in compliance with federal and state laws/regulations (i.e., HIPAA, PHI).
