Digital Arts Teaching Assistant (222509-14)
We are looking for a creative Teaching Assistant who can turn digital art instruction into a transformative experience for youth facing challenging circumstances. In this role, you will provide the technical guidance and classroom support necessary to empower students. Join our team to help build a community where every student feels seen, supported, and capable.
Hours
Part-time, Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-6:00pm
Location
Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$17 an hour
Responsibilities
- Support lead instructors by implementing lesson plans.
- Adapt support strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and interests.
- Engage with students individually and in groups to foster creativity, collaboration, and active participation.
- Offer constructive feedback to enhance curriculum design and classroom activities.
- Occasionally substitute for department managers during absences or emergencies.
- Participate in staff meetings to review class outcomes and suggest improvements.
- Assist with report preparation and documentation.
- Monitor and report on equipment status, including computers, iPads, and other classroom technology.
- Track classroom supplies and submit requests for replenishment.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in operating office equipment, including printers and scanners.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including at-risk youth.
- Genuine interest in working with children and maintaining composure under pressure.
- Excellent multitasking abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Versatility in multiple digital arts disciplines (preferred).
- Capability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
