A local non-profit is seeking an experienced individual to join their team as the Director of Marketing & Communications. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of the company's marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7 years of experience with demonstrated success in marketing, communications, or public relations.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Thursday, 8:00am-5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am-2:00pm (flexible)

Pay

$90,000 to $120,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company's mobile app and work on increasing usage and engagement.
  • Manage the company?s databases incl. accuracy and compliance with opt-in and data privacy.
  • Oversee social media and content marketing strategy.
  • Oversee company's brand appearance in print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.
  • Create, implement, and measure the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations program.
  • Produce and edit company communications incl. executive communications, speeches, industry publications, etc.
  • Serve as the main liaison to media partners.
  • Coordinate company events and community appearances.
  • Develop branding strategies for sponsorships and advertising opportunities.
  • Assist in planning member events that help promote company?s mission and vision.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7-10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations with demonstrated success.
  • Experience developing and managing budgets.
  • Experience training, developing, supervising, and appraising personnel.
  • Experience writing press releases, making presentations, and negotiating with media.
  • Experience overseeing the design and production of print materials and publications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Extreme attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information with sensitivity.
