Financial Controller (216459-04)#OFFICE_INDEEDA local non-profit organization is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team. As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing all accounting and billing tasks to ensure the organization's financial stability and growth. This is a temporary position that will run to the end of the year that does have the potential to extend.
Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Location
Honolulu, Oahu
Pay
$90,000 a year
Responsibilities
- Analyze budget variances and provide explanations for private and public funding sources.
- Support budget preparation for grant applications and fundraising events.
- Assist in modifying project and operational plans based on approvals, rejections, and funding source requirements.
- Prepare and publish monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
- Manage investments, reconcile accounts, and track donations and endowments.
- Oversee annual audit and tax preparations.
- Ensure completion of all annual business and tax filings.
- Act as the primary contact for grants and contract financial reporting.
- Supervise contract renewals and manage invoice submission and reporting for contracts and grants.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Proficiency in preparing financial statements following GAAP guidelines.
- Experience in construction project accounting is highly desirable.
- Passion for affordable housing development and creating housing solutions for those in need.
- Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intact, and Bill.com, as well as MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Office 365, and MS Project in a PC environment.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
