Job Description

A local non-profit is seeking a Fund Development Coordinator to join their team and help with their fundraising and grant writing efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising campaigns, managing donor databases, creating reports, and strategizing different fundraising and sponsorship strategies.

Hours

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$22 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve donor database.
  • Arrange in-person visits, including tours, with major gift prospects.
  • Develop and implement strategies for fundraising and sponsorships.
  • Assist with invitation mailings, event RSVPs, and as point person for general event inquiries.
  • Conduct research on potential grant opportunities.
  • Write grants applications and reports.
  • Maintain a system for tracking requests, receipt of grant funds and reporting timelines.
  • Collect and organize gift data to be used for internal and external reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or business administration preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in fundraising, special events, donor communications, and project/event management.
  • Experience working with at-risk populations preferred.
  • Grant research and writing experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of diverse software applications and ability to use new software programs and databases with basic training.
  • Computer skills in word processing, database management, spreadsheets, and electronic communications.
  • Must have a valid Hawaii driver's license.
  • Auto insurance and access to registered and insured automobile.
  • Strong communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Ability to pass state and federal background check.
