Job Description

We are looking for a General Manager to oversee the staff, budgets, and operations of a clothing business with two stores in Waikiki.

General Manager responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people, and establishing policies.

To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and confident decision-maker to help the company grow and thrive.

Qualified candidates will have at least five years of retail management experience. Japanese language skills are a plus.

Hours

Full-time, 45 hours/week between 8:45am-9:30pm based on store needs

Location

Waikiki, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$28 to $38 an hour

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall store operations.
• Supervise, train, and assist employees.
• Develop and maintain employee schedules.
• Maintain proper inventory levels and maintain external partnerships.
• Manage wholesale and online aspects of the business.
• Recruit and onboard staff based on store needs.
• Support with any team needs, including human resources questions.
• Manage costs to maximize profitability.
• Develop and maintain marketing plans for products.
• Review reports and other data to identify opportunities for improvement in operations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of previous clothing retail management experience.
• Must have previous supervisory experience.
• Must have excellent communication skills and a strong customer service focus.
• Must be able to manage operations and have strong team working skills.
• Conversational Japanese language skills preferred.
