Job Description

A local utility company is looking for customer service driven individuals to assist their customer relations department. We are seeking to fill multiple openings for this role. This position will start immediately and last approximately 1 year, with the possibility of extension. Upon hire, you will need to attend an in-person training at the client's downtown Honolulu office. Once training is completed, employees will work remotely. The schedule is five days a week, with a graveyard shift from 10pm to 6am.

The ideal candidate will have previous call center experience or experience with a position that required heavy phones.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers with outages during emergency situations.
  • Assist customers with service related questions.
  • Initiates proactive calls and handle incoming customer inquiries.
  • Communicate with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous call center experience or experience with a position that required heavy phones.
  • Must reside on Oahu for on-call emergencies.
  • Proficient with computers and highly proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • High level of customer service experience and knowledge.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal) skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Comfortable typing and speaking at the same time.
  • Comfortable dealing with irate customers.
