Job Description

Seeking a Guest Service Shift Leader to provide guest services and monitor cleaning and maintenance services for multiple student residences on Oahu. This is a full-time role with convenient evening shifts!

This role oversees the operations and employees during scheduled shifts; provides a high level of customer service and guest assistance; performs security rounds and building inspections; communicates and enforces all policies and procedures; and responds to emergencies or crisis situations as needed.

Full-time, 3:15pm - Midnight

Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$20 to $21 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with staff in processing room assignments, room preparation and check-outs to ensure timely and high-quality turnarounds.
  • Process guest registration in Maestro reservations program and handle guest payments.
  • Prepare arrival packet/keycard.
  • Monitor employees and ensure that outstanding customer service is being provided.
  • Address customer issues and complaints.
  • Conduct room and public area inspections before and after cleaning to make sure all requests were completed and that cleaning is up to expected standards, providing direction and follow-up to custodial staff as required.
  • Monitor maintenance and facility concerns and ensure that all repairs are performed satisfactorily.
  • Communicate with residents, guests, contractors and staff by email, phone, in-person and digital notification system regarding issues including resident conduct, maintenance, cleaning, security, emergencies, etc.
  • Handle special projects throughout the year such as conducting inventory checks of all furniture and equipment in assigned areas and other special projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience providing customer service. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of routine office and record keeping procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Calendar, Etc.) and Adobe. Maestro Property Management System experience a plus.
  • Ability to pleasantly and helpfully deal with people of diverse cultural backgrounds;
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to appropriately handle confidential material.
  • Ability to to assist with emergencies outside of normal schedule as needed.
  • Covid-19 vaccination required by client for this position. This is not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
