Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Assistant to join our dynamic HR team. This role is integral to supporting various human resources functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance management. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of human resources practices and systems. Skills Strong knowledge of human capital management principles and employment/labor law regulations. Proficiency with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UltiPro, or PeopleSoft. Experience with benefits administration tools including Paychex, ADP, or Ceridian. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills. Familiarity with ATS platforms like iCIMS or Taleo for sourcing and recruiting activities. Understanding of payroll systems such as Paylocity or Kronos for accurate data entry and processing. Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations relevant to workplace compliance. Competence in conflict management and employee relations strategies. Experience in training & development initiatives and performance management processes. Full-time, Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm

Pay

$53,000 to $58,000 a year

Responsibilities

  • Assist with talent acquisition processes by supporting recruiting efforts, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews using applicant tracking systems
  • Support onboarding and employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Prepare and distribute COBRA documentation and related communications as needed.
  • Reconcile and process benefit invoices for payment.
  • Provide high-caliber administrative support to the HR team and internal partners.
  • Organize files, prepare documentation, and support HR processes as needed
  • Maintain accurate employee records through data entry in HRIS platform
  • Help administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies such as FMLA and workers' compensation claims.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of employee information.
  • Understanding of basic HR and/or accounting principles.
