Job Description

A local company is seeking an experienced HR/Benefits Specialist to support day-to-day human resources and benefits administration. This role is responsible for managing employee data, processing benefit transactions, assisting staff and clients with HR-related inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-service minded, highly organized, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Pay

$30 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Enter new hire information and maintain up-to-date employee records.
  • Process benefit elections, changes, and related transactions.
  • Prepare and compile data, reports, and requested information.
  • Respond to inquiries via email, phone, and in-person regarding new hire information, payroll, and benefits.
  • Create, maintain, and update paper and electronic file systems, including insurance carrier records.
  • Provide general clerical and administrative support.
  • Manage day-to-day benefits activities for client employees.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of HR, benefits, or administrative experience.
  • Strong data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll/benefit systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-level customer service and support.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Consistent work performance, reliability, and attendance.
