A local IT solutions company is looking for an HR Assistant to provide general office support and coordinate day-to-day HR functions such as collecting new hire paperwork and uploading employee data into the payroll system.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

$50,000 to $60,000 a year, Depending on Experience


  • Draft and send employee/contractor agreements and other onboarding documents.
  • Schedule interviews and work with new hire candidates to ensure all onboarding documents are completed on time.
  • Conduct employee orientations and schedule first day meetings for staff.
  • Inform new and existing employees about their benefits (i.e., health care, FMLA, 401(k), and FSA).
  • Contact employees as they become eligible for 401(k) enrollment and assist with registration.
  • Handle employee complaints, concerns and personal matters with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Coordinate and manage staff related events.
  • Complete Form I-9 and E-Verify for new employees within three days of their start date.
  • Create electronic copies of all Form I-9 documents, complete E-Verify confirmations, upload and file.
  • Ensure health insurance and life insurance enrollments as needed.
  • File, organize and track onboarding documents.
  • Ensure all documents and files are up to date.
  • Coordinate with desktop support to ensure staff has equipment required prior to start date (laptop, desk set-up, etc.).
  • Upload new staff into the HR administration portal for access to benefit information.
  • Create new pages on the company intranet to enhance personnel information and resources available to employees.
  • Facilitate open enrollment annually for health insurance and Flex Spending Account enrollment.
  • Provide back-up support to the front reception if needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources.
  • 3+ years' experience working as a Human Resources Assistant/Coordinator.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High attention to detail and ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to be organized, multi-tasked, and very flexible with changing priorities.
  • COVID-19 vaccination required by client for this position. This is not an ALTRES Staffing requirement.
