Job Description

An established local company is seeking a highly experienced candidate to assist their HR Learning & Development team with developing and leading competency-based training courses to personnel. The ideal candidate will have their bachelor's degree and at least three years' experience in leading or facilitating training and development seminars.

This is a temporary position with full-time hours and will go through March 2023 with the possibility of extension. Apply today to be immediately considered.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Location

Airport Area, Honolulu, Oahu

Pay

$36 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and deliver competency-based training courses, materials, and professional development to leadership and employees.
  • Evaluate course content and training methods with an eye toward improvement and learning effectiveness.
  • Help foster a learning culture within the team and organization, in support of the company's mission, vision and values.
  • Act as a role model for positive and effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, department heads, and outside training consultants.
  • Assist in coordinating logistics, organizing events, tracking and reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor?s degree, preferably in business or education, or a combination of education, training and experience are acceptable in lieu of the degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years? experience in facilitating training and/or education delivery.
  • Knowledgeable of adult learning theories, practices, and approaches.
  • Knowledgeable in instructional design methodology including needs analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation.
  • Previous experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), delivery platforms or tracking, and reporting systems for TD/L&D Program participation and completion.
  • Knowledgeable of PC-based computer systems like Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience handling complex calendar and class schedules, and evaluations.
  • Ability to analyze the needs of the workplace, associates, work settings and processes to assist in designing training solutions, resulting in improved performance.
  • Ability to interact with multiple levels of management.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to assimilate large amounts of information quickly, and capable of keeping pace with a fast-changing industry preferred.
